New York based actress/singer Mel Weyn is currently Quarantining in New York City.
Before this chapter of the world, Mel most recently played Tzeitel in the First National Tour of 'Fiddler on the Roof,' directed by Tony Award Winner Bartlett Sher. She previously understudied Maria in the national tour of 'The Sound of Music,' directed by Jack O'Brien. She has loved getting to travel and see the country while performing these beautiful classic musicals.
She has also had the pleasure of performing some dream roles regionally. Including Fantine in 'Les Miserables' at Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Eva Peron in 'Evita' and Narrator in 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' at Timber Lake Playhouse and Lucy in 'Jekyll & Hyde' with Sponge Theatricals.
Mel was raised outside of Atlanta GA and earned her BFA in Acting from Webster Conservatory of the Performing Arts in St. Louis.
Outside of performing, Mel loves shooting photos on her Canon AE-1 35mm.
She also loves to travel; discovering new places and new people. She has been lucky enough to visit over 125 cities and 15 countries spanning 5 continents.
She is an avid coffee drinker, plant mama, and french fry fiend.
